Emma is a 28 year old keys/piano player, singer, dancer and producer from the West Midlands, who has completed studying Music Technology and Popular Music at the University of Wolverhampton.

 

I have had a passion for performing for as long as I can remember, starting on my journey from the age of four. I would love to turn that passion into something that can help others to learn too...therefore Emma Chapman Music was born.

 

I became interested in Music Technology during A Levels at Streetly School, I chose Tech due to the A Level music working on a swaps scheme and now I am adept at using Logic Pro to create music.

 

Singing also has been a large part of my life, performing in the Blackwood School and Streetly School Choirs and later involved in the Walsall Junior and Youth Choirs at Forest Arts Centre.

I have also played the violin up to grade 4 level.

 

I have had experience of performing, such as performances for Collbecks Music in New Oscott and Sutton Town Hall, Choir performances at venues such as the Walsall Town Hall and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, University gigs in Newhampton Arts Theatre and The Performance Hub at Wolverhampton Uni. More recently I've had experience performing further afield, at various open mic events.

 

I also dance and have been performing with both Annabell Humpage Academy of Dance (for 12 years) and Dance Attack (for 6 years) and also was involved with the Brit Youth Theatre. Also having a year of dance at Walsall College which allowed me to take part in workshops with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Matthew Bourne Company.

 

I have been influenced by many different genres of music thanks to her parents, from classic rock, the punk and New Wave era, to Indie, Alternative Rock and Classical music.

My main influences include Tom Odell, Bo Burnham, Queen and The Killers. 

 

Dance wise I have been influenced by seeing many different stage shows and performances, which has introduced me to many different styles of dance from Ballet and Tap to Streetdance and Contemporary.
